It's Spring!!!!!!! Or a good impression there of......
Flows have changed........I expect kayaks to appear on cars today.....
Raining all night....Snow pack is going fast.
Roads are very wet......slow or hydroplane.....
Creeks are raging......
Upper river is at 1130cfs, tan and rising fast.....mid 40s...warm rain, from mist to..>>>>> pelting..!
I can feel Hawaiian breezes.......
Lower river 1350cfs It's time for a big stick.....! Also a good time for euro nymphing right at your feet.......
No wading...................!
Local store is out of ABs and AAA Dunsmores split shot.
I will be out in while to fish a bit, and will report again!
Baetis (A lrg sz dry 14-16, tall blue wing, as well as nymph), and Midges, both adults dry and subsurface, and Little Winter stones both dry and nymph.....and maybe a Skwalla if you are feeling lucky.
And Now Serving!!! March Browns!!!
You can add Crays, and worms to the list......
Ok...about 4-6" of slush on the flats. Sloppy in the extreme...
Sounds like a cold finnish to the storm, but not much accumulation...1-3".
Fat soggy flakes falling with a thud, mixed with rain.........
All my posts are daily from the river......no shops were called in making this report....:D.
Nor guessing from home.....
Generally, parking to fish , a little better...but not much...don't get stuck, be conservative......bring a tow strap...
Remember, no on-street parking this time of year....Keep'em wet! Treat'em nice!
This is your march miracle...ha. An all Women's team summits the snow removal pile at Wild Cherries winter 2018.
