To California Fly Fishers Unlimited members,
The beginning Fly Fishing Class will be held on Feb. 20 and 27, 2018 at Northminster Church.
The class begins promptly at 6:30 pm and will end around 9:00 pm.
Directions to the church can be found on the CFFU web page at www.CFFU.org
The first class session will cover:
Selection of the proper fly rod
Selection of you fly reel
Leaders
Tippets
Fly fishing knots (3)
Basic equipment needs
Rigging the fly rod
The second class session will cover:
Answer any questions regarding the first weeks class
Selecting your fishing flies
Safety equipment
Personal floatation devices (i.e. float tubes)
Students are asked to bring their fly rod and reel to the class. Additionally, if you have any equipment issues you want assistance with, bring them to the class.
Each student will be provided with a detailed handout detailing all of the topics discussed during the class. Additional note taking material may prove valuable.
