A New Tool For Building Leader Formulas Online

Hi guys -

I'm new around here! Bill was gracious enough to let me tell you guys about a new website my team and I have been working on. We call it Barbless.co Leaders.

Here's a bit about it:

Barbless Leaders is where anglers go to discover, create and share leader formulas for fly fishing - from local streams and lakes to remote locations like Belize, you can find that perfect fly rig right here.

As you guys know, there are tons of leader formulas online today, but they are scattered across the internet and are often difficult to make sense of. We created a platform that has everything you need to build better leaders that use a common set of rules, tools and building materials. You can vote on your favorites, comment on any of them, etc.

Disclaimer: the site is brand new - launched it just last week. We are still finding (and squashing) the occasional bug, and don't have support for mobile devices just yet (but will soon).

Hi cmcdhuibh - we will be adding "how to tie this knot" videos soon. You will be able to click on any green knot in any leader and watch a video of how to tie that knot.

I've added four of my own personal leaders to the Barbless Leaders website. Streamer, Spring Creek, Everyday Dry Fly, and my Short Line Nymphing leaders. Register, create a profile, and build your leaders to share with other fly anglers. What a great concept, and a very helpful tool for those new to fly fishing! - J.
