This shouldn't be difficult in the era of google, but I am trying to find a fly rod tube that is 22-24" long (for a 7' 4pc rod) and having a heck of a time. I am hoping to find something stock, I don't want to pay a custom price.

Any ideas of where I can find such a thing?

Make your own, either PVC from the hardware store or visit tap plastics for a variety of tubes. PVC is definitely the cheapest. Fly shop in Redding offers custom cut aluminum ones for around 50. Most of the production ones I have seen are 27" to 29" minimum length. Sportsmans warehouse has Tackle factory rod cases $15-$20 the 307 at 2" diameter and 308 at 2.5" diameter they are long like 48" minimum but the top cap is held on with pop rivets so you could drill out the pop rivets cut the tube to length and then reattach the top cap with new rivets.

Captain Andy Guibord @ Kiene's Fly Shop in Sacramento should be able to cut down an aluminum rod tube to any length for you.

Call first to see when he is working.

I believe Larry from L3 rods carries that size tube. I just got a 7pc 5wt from him at a great price with tube and rod sock. Www.L3rods.com
