I wasn't aware that these things are all over the world and people DO eat them regularly. There were several videos showing folks trying them and it seems the key to making them edible is removing the large outer shell. In a village in India they put so many herbs, spices, and seasonings in a cooking pot full of them you probably couldn't tell what the heck they were anyway.

Around the gulf and east coast they eat fried soft-shell crabs too. I don't like them and I bet these little things taste just about the same.

Maybe we can have a camp-out over at Lawson's Landing and have Bill cook up a bunch so we can all try ,,,,,,one :)

We had them in the surf in Santa Cruz when I was a youngster.

Now we have them big time on the central Florida coast.

Most just use them for bait for surf fishing for Pompano and Whiting.
