Was there 2 years ago, only two of us that week. Fished the honey spots all day, all week. 75 + per day average 8 lbs. largest dry fly fish 17 , biggest fish 21. Made up for all those the fishless steelhead days. Fly into lodge and fish five minute walk to water. No long drives each day to water. Last spot on my bucket list.

Here is an email response about this lake from Steve Jensen who owns Kiene's and Marriott's fly shops.

Hi Bill

I have not been there but I have followed it for years and I will be there this December but the week is filled. There are a couple lodges up there but Jurassic Lake Lodge is the place to go for several reasons, most importantly is that there property encompasses the inlet stream and the fishing up that small river creates some great diversity to the lake fishing and makes the week much more interesting.

There are two best times to be there. The Spring, which is November and December and the Fall which is March and April. The Spring offers the best numbers of fish, (dozens of fish per day) and the best fishing up the river. The Fall offers slightly larger and stronger fish because they have eaten all summer long but the numbers are cut in about half.

We have a good relationship with the lodge and would love to help your friends get all lined up to go there.

Steve
