Eagle Lake report from Terry Thomas' group.....

Terry and his group of regulars went on their annual Eagle Lake trip last week.

Terry said it was slow for them but OK because the fish were very large.

Some were 26 inches long and up to 6 pounds.

Terry said the water is not as cold as it usually is in November.

Lots of Grebes eating Tui Chubs.....


A local said it was good the week before.

So nice to see an Eagle Lake report. There have been so few of them here in the past few years.

I hope the water level was able to come up a bit after last years rain.

I might just have to try to get up there before the end of the year. It's been a long time since I've been there.

Currently, the lake is up 4 vertical feet from this time last year based on the depth at the launch ramp. The lake really looks good.
