We were so blessed to have been able to hang around with Bob back in the good old days on Fall River and Hat Creek in the 1970s.

He lived the sport every day of his life having a little fly shop, guiding/teaching fly fishing and mostly tying flies...every day.

Bob fished all over the world but is mostly know for his days on the Fall River.

I personally think Bob was the best fly tyer-fisherman that ever walked on the earth....yes I know he had lots of problems, however after that being said.....He was absolutely head and shoulders above anybody who ever called themselves a fly fisherman on earth.

Funny that you posted this link, Bill. I had recently reviewed vimeo bookmarks of Bob's tying. Apparently they had been removed and the memorial, also on Vimeo, was the only thing available from here on out. Have to say, feel pretty lucky to have secured DVD videos of Bob at the bench.
