TFO warranty repair experiences?

My gf busted the tip section of her 4wt TFO Pro series. The rod was not registered in her name and was bought second hand. Does anyone know if TFO will still fix this under their warranty? Trying to get it out next week so that it gets back in time for our NZ trip in November.

I've purchased most of my TFO rods secondhand and never once have they even asked about warranty registration or any proof of first ownership. I call each time just as a courtesy and they always just tell me to send it in with a $25 check. I've never been more than a week without a rod as they have an extremely fast turn around time. Usually they just completely replaced the section or even the entire rod if it's a bad enough break.
