I'm pretty happy with the Garmin I bought in the Spring. Does what it needs to do and has limited GPS capability. I use it on my Scadden Pontoon.
Garmin 010-01550-00 Striker 4 Built-in GPS Fish Finder = $100

Bill,
I bought a "Lucky 918" fish finder for my metalhead a year or so back.
The lucky fish finder is where you toss a bobber out with a conventional rod and read the graft from your boat....Just awesome and they are only $175.00....You will always know if any fish are home, just perfect for Salmon fishing up north.

10 years ago we had a few choices but today there are dozens of portable fish finders.
We used the original Fishing Buddy finders but I think because of kayak fishing we have many more options.

Bill,
I have a almost new fishing buddy 2....It's old however it's been stored in the box for years, it works perfect, however I just don't need it...I will sell it for $75.00

Hi Carl - I'm interested. Does it have the side finder function?
