Just fished the East Walker and things are starting to change a little from the dog days of summer. Cooler days/nights and some afternoon showers had the browns a bit more active than the past few weeks which was all pretty hot and dry. Water temps are coming down slightly and should continue to fall as nights get into the upper 30's and low 40's. I didn't have as much success with traditional nymph stuff like caddis, worms, and midges so I started tossing and drifting big ugly feathers and it was game on. Got this pretty girl on a zuddler minnow pattern. Flows still around 300 CFS but they were at 340 when I was out there. They had dropped to 280 shortly but the rain event spurred them to increase flows.

Good times. Thin crowds and miles of fishable water.13364
