Klamath River salmon has not been good this summer/fall...

Just did some emailing to fly fishing friends in Oregon:
Al Perryman just called me.....
He has been doing consistently well on Steelhead in the Grants Pass/Medford area fishing very early ever morning.
Flow is over 2,000 but will be at 1,500 on Wednesday which Al says is very good.
Time to go to the middle/upper Rogue River for adult/summer run Steelhead and some Half-pounders.
Rogue River salmon has been very good in the lower river at Gold Beach and even by some by guides up above Grant Pass.
Salmon run is said to be very high, around 130,000
Lots of Half-pounders in the lower Rouge and adults up around Medford/Grant Pass.
Al says mid-August through September is good timing for Half-pounders on the Lower Rogue River annually.

Lots of salmon in the lower Columbia.
Steelhead are not showing yet.....

Email, call, text, or PM me if you need any help with planning a good Fall (Sept/Oct/Nov) Steelhead trip to the Klamath, Trinity or Rogue Rivers.
Let me know if you hear any info, good or bad.
* I am not a legendary Steelheader but I do know a lot about the locations, timing and tackle plus enjoy helping people get connected to Steelheading.
Here is a very hot fish Al caught this week that ran 50 yards of backing off his classic Bogdon reel on an Anderson 12'6" # 6 rod.
