Helena fire on the Trinity River

A fire started on Wednesday about 18:00 near Helena and Hwy 299W. It is currently on both sides of the river and 3000 acres. Junction City is evacuated. I just heard Big Foot camp ground suffered significant damage. One of my fire engines got there today to help.

I'll have to call my friends in JC and Weaverville.

Hope damage to life (wild and domestic) is minimal.
