"Bill, catching has been good. There are fish at least up to Agnes. I have been going out and fishing a run or two in the morning and one in the evening. The lowest number has been five landed and the highest was fifteen one evening.

I had a very nice wild five or six pound steelhead to hand last night and lost another the day before.

The ratio of wild to hatchery is about fifty and fifty, the wild fish live up to their billing and the other half not so much.

The conditions were right for surf perch one day, I went to a beach that I had not been to before and only landed two red tails.

Bruce"

Sounds about right. I have a few friends up in Grants Pass and Medford that fish on a regular basis and they are hooking fish that is for sure.

Lower 30 miles of river has Half-pounders.

Ocean to Agness.

You can drive it with a car.....no need for a jet boat.

Go now.....fish early and late.

Friends are there now and more are going right after labor day.

Grant Pass/Medford has been OK for Al Perryman but he wants the flow to get down to 1500 cfs for better wading access.
