I've never been partyboat fishing in norcal. But really want to.
Is this too much rod for groundfish and salmon?

I think it would be good for trolling for salmon in the ocean or bottom fishing.

Don't know how i would be for mooching?

Maybe check with someone?

It is 6'6" and one piece 30# to 60# line

Pretty heavy rig for rockfish etc, more of a 30-40 tuna setup.

Hope to sell it locally because the freight on a 6'6" one piece rod would cost some $$$
