A San Diego angler caught a 15 1/2# striper from Lake Murray recently.
Probably beefed up on small bass and stocker trout.
Some fly guys used to target them in the concrete stream around Bakersfield.

As I recall, there was an article in California Fly Fisher about Striper fishing in the canal in Southern California. Every time I drive down I-5, I see bait guys fishing near the gates and pumping stations. Not for me, tho. The banks are too steep and the current too strong....
