Looking for an as new (or ever so slightly used) fully caged model at a reasonable price.
Anyone have an old one laying around, never to be fished again?

In their day, maybe 20 years ago, these were pretty good fly reels.

Today the low end reels are so much better.

Bill,

I tend to agree with you concerning today's lower end machined reels. However, I'm trying to find older reels in high condition to put on some of the same vintage rods that I have had some fun purchasing and casting recently, so there lies the rub. The SA's seem to fit the bill for bomb proof, cost effective reels in their day and seem to be a dime a dozen, even in fairly unused condition. I just seem to be having a harder time finding the 67, which I have 4 NIB spare spools for that were given to me for nearly free ...
