WTB 500 gr. shooting heads

Looking for a couple 500gr shooting heads to complete my wahoo rig. I remember RIO use to have some heads from 500gr to 750gr but no more. I might have to buy some T-17 and make my own heads

The right double hand heads cross over nicely and are much more common these days. Easy to trim into desired weights and lengths.

FYI Rio makes a Billfish 30 foot shooting head 550 gr on a 50 pound core...another good choice would be the integrated 26 foot sink tip in 400-500 grain, and this sink tip casts like you wouldn't believe.

A word of caution with the T-17 for shooting heads--the outside coating and the cores aren't compatible when stretched really hard, the inside core won't stretch and the outside does stretch causing the outside core to strip off in large pieces....at least this was the problem years ago when we used them in Mexico, Now we just use the Billfish shooting heads and we are problem free.
