Had the afternoon off between 12 and 5pm from the swim meet in Redding so went up to the Upper Sacramento. Stopped in and saw Bob so he told me to hit it around Mossbrae Falls. Fished for about three hours from 1:30 to 4:30 and hooked upwards of twenty fish. Only one was around 14-15 inches and the rest were between 6 and 9 inches but it was a lot of fun and did I mention there's a ton of small fish? Reminded me of the NF Yuba sort of (slipped on a slick rock w/ studded rubber Sims and took a ride....).
CADDIS. Olive fox poopah and tan La Fontaine emerger. Sz 16/18 or there abouts. Nothing on hares ear nor PT. There was a hatch of small tan caddis coming off but nothing on them.
Pretty river.
