Today we woke up to calm seas and sticky hot conditions which are perfect for Dorado. It took us about 30-40 minutes to find a large pack of willing Dorado and caught probably 30-35 fish on cast flies, foregoing bait for the second time this trip. The action slowed to where you had to cast 3-5 times for a hook-up, so we decided to go look for a pack of fresher fish and came across a few hundred more at a location called 30-30, which was about an hour from our previous location. We fished another two hours or so and landed another 40 or 45 more, bringing the day's total to at least 75. One boat went Rooster fishing and caught 6, and one lucky bait guy landed a 57-pound Dorado. What a fish! Hope more of the big ones continue to show up!
