Just so the thread doesn't go unanswered, I'll vote for somewhere else, with someone else. Because of our location, a three day weekend road trip would take us to Lee's Ferry or the San Juan.

Maybe try the BigT, and Prosser....
Less driving equals more fishing...

I went to San Juan couple months ago for first time. Really enjoyed it. Was pre release flows, tried to post photos her but forgot how or ...amazing number of big fish there.
As for this weekend can't wait !

I fished a few of those places this month and they are all good. I'd definitely stay within a few hours driving though. The only one I'd cross off the list in the Big Truckee. I know it's producing fish but man those high flows are a pain to deal with. Lassen area was fun. I'd like to do that again and hit up Baum Lake.

Headed to Burney in the end.......Fun trip.

Fished Hat Creek ph 2 fri evening. Was slow to begin with but few fish came on top got lovely 18 inch rainbow and in fading light hooked on stimi.

Sat fished Baum first time in years, caught loads small guys on dark spinner. Had a paddle for some residents and got one Brown.

Fished Hat in eve, lots more people out and fishing tougher. Loads yellow stones out. Beautiful night.

Had couple hours Manzanita on way home, sounds like most action was early doors . No hatches and pretty quiet.

Fun trip, wished had another day off as would like to have hit Fall River but now back in office.

Reflecting on fact that it's long drive for 2.5 days fishing but always worth it.
