Just in case anyone cares, a group of us were on Crooked Island last week. Their national elections had just been completed and the FNM party soundly thumped the PLP, winning 35 seats to PLP's 4. Their media and pundits were all saying PLP was on the way to a resounding second term. PLP is the party that supported and drafted the current controversial version of their flats fishing regulations. FNM delegates have stated they will change those regulations. But in the meantime, our fishing license process went very smoothly. The afternoon of our arrival, the lodge manager at Crooked Acklins Trophy Lodge (formally known as Tranquillity Lodge) gave us a one page form to fill out and return it to her with our $20. While we fished the following day, she gave the applications and fees to the proper authorities. That evening, at dinner time, the local constable came out to the lodge and gave each of us an envelope with the license and a receipt. It was a little humorous that the license was actually the same one page form we had completed only replicated by someone at official office, and then stamped with an official stamp. But the process went smooth without drama.

Can anyone identify this tree frog species that climbed up our railing one evening to eat a few bugs?
