Perfect timing. I just got his book a week ago and can't put it down. Other than striped bass around here, GTs have become an addiction for me. I've caught lots of Jack Crevalle in Baja and the Caribbean and these are first cousins to GTs. Now having been to Christmas Island twice and Aitutaki in the Cook Islands I've really gotten the urge for more.

Peter McLeod's book is really a good read for anyone wanting to take on an apex predator like this. I can't wait to go again. Tony

In my 13 trips to Christmas Island I have seen the wild side of the Giant Trevally more than a few times, especially in the 1980s when it was a new deal.

Big ones are like wild boar......dark and mean.

While wading for Bonefish we always let out guide carry our 10 weight with a popper.
