The RPL was the faster action and the GFL was the softer action.

Both were Graphite III or IM6 roughly.

Some over lines the RPL for shorter stream work.

GFL usually works well with the line recommendation on the rod.

They might not have pieces anymore to repair those older rods.

I have a graphite 3 LL I'm sending in to Sage for a repair; they said they do still replace G3 blanks, but the G2 is no longer available... They'll upgrade your G3 rod, but it cost a bit extra.

Still looking. Prefer gfl but will consider a rpl too. I think rpl + would be too fast for me though.
