I loaned a friend my boat and he lost the anchor on the Trinity below Douglas city! He let it out and he thought it was tied on (!?), so it's not snagged.

It's a custom steel anchor painted gray, it looks like a brick. Welded on are four spikes. It has a black and white rope still attached.

Here is the location: https://www.google.com/maps/place/40%C2%B039'29.1%22N+122%C2%B057'28.6%22W/@40.6517275,-122.9689406,13.37z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x0!8m2!3d40.658095!4d-122.957952

If anyone has a chance to get it back, let me know! Modest reward available.

Thanks,

Hey Sean

Got your anchor and rope. I'm actually heading home from the Trinity right now, so I'll be back in Sac Valley starting tomorrow.

Where abouts do you live?

I'm gonna suggest a Double IPA with a Pale Ale chaser. :)

Your welcome Sean, pleasure chatting with you. Looking forward to meeting up.

Man those all sound delicious, and they do taste great, but had an accident a little over 10yrs ago that does not allow my body to consume/digest/process beer. If I drink even a half of one, within an hour, major migraine and it can last for days.

It really sucks as there is nothing better than a 38deg cold ars beer after a long hot day of doing something or nothing.

Brian, you will have some serious steelhead mojo coming your way I'm sure!

When. I first read "lost anchor on the Trinity", I thought you might be describing my casting...

Just wanted to followup and say that I got my anchor back from Brian.

What a standup guy to help a brother out! He wouldn't accept my reward money, because he's a standup guy.

Hat's off to ya!

Sean

It was a pleasure meeting you at the FFS BBQ, and you are very welcome. Glad it all worked out and you got your anchor back. One of the few things on a drift boat you dont want to loose.
