Price drop
This is $300 cheaper than top end graphite is going for these days...and this is a FAR better fishing tool. And a piece of history. Every single time I sell a Walton Powell bamboo rod to someone who hasn't fished one before I get the same response....it's the best rod they have ever cast, they can't believe how under-valued they are, and it's easily their favorite rod. Seriously...every time.

I have a Walton Powell bamboo rod that had two tips and two butt sections. I believe one was a 5 wt and the other one was a 6 weight. The tips were interchangeable with the butt sections. I got the rod off Walton himself. We did the bargaining at one of the Federation of Fly Fishers conclaves that was held at Kings Beach, Lake Tahoe. It cost me 100 dozen of Walton's favorite fly - brown hackle tail, brown hackle rear and front and red floss body in the middle. I know there's a name for the fly but can't think of it right now.
I sold the rod years ago for a good price. $750.00

Yep - those old two butt two tip rods were called companion rods. Very cool rods.

I have an old fly box with a sticker label that says "Walton Powell Flies" and there are quite a few of exactly these flies you describe. There are also a bunch of Renegades in there.
