Lamson Reels
My 2008 Velocity gave up the drag a couple of weeks ago, and I sent it in to Lamson two weeks ago today. I emailed them Tuesday about status, and they quickly responded it had all been fixed and shipped. Came in today. Looks like they replaced the entire drag system, looks and feels like new. $20 total plus cost to ship to them.

I lost a simple plug under the head that conceals the head wiring. I knew I'd get hosed for shipping but it was either a web of electricians tape over the hole or replace it, and as the Terrova is not yet a year old I decided to call and order the part. Gave her the serial number and she knew the problem and the part immediately, no charge, went out today. I guess it was considered a warranty issue, but she was so nice and helpful. And chatty--thoughts of "Fargo" during our conversation, ya.
I've talked with MK tech previously about a mounting question, and they too were very helpful and answered my questions clearly.
Both companies are U.S. based with many/most components manufactured domestically. Both companies had English speaking reps, and both exhibited excellent knowledge, diligence and courtesy. How refreshing, and how effective for customer retention.
