Our March 7th our CFFU speaker at Howe Park at 7pm is Brett Wedeking and he will be presenting a program on Alaska: From Do It Yourself to Fly-Out Lodge. Alaska is geographically enormous and filled with endless fishing opportunities. But, with such a vast array of options, how do you begin planning a trip? Brett’s discussion will help you identify your Alaska dreams and offer options and tips for planning your adventure. He will concentrate on Trout and Salmon fishing in Southwestern Alaska and the famous Bristol Bay region, but will also include the Kenai Peninsula road system and a bit on Southeast Alaska as well. Alaska has something for every budget and every angler’s life list. There will be a short film and slideshow and Brett will answer any questions you may have.

Brett has been fly fishing since high school and spent 10 years guiding in Washington State for Trout and Steelhead. He moved to the Bay Area 6 years ago and works for the prestigious Lost Coast Outfitters in San Francisco. He guides in Alaska every summer and somehow finds time to tie custom flies and write articles for magazines. Brett is one of the nicest guys in the industry and you might remember him from the clinic he gave our club on Putah Creek for the President’s Outing last October. You don’t want to miss this.
