Hi, off topic sorta, but I LOVE casting bait casters and if you haven't gotten into it it is fun and for some, a neat challenge to learn. If you would like to try to get into it I have the perfect reel for this rod, an (older) Ambassador c3, that I would donate to the cause! Pulling plugs and/or casting spoons is a great compliment to fly fishing. (If you have been there done that, please disregard.)

Hey John,

Thanks for the extremely generous offer! I have a couple baitcaster rigs for bass but nothing like this rod. I pretty much exclusively fly fish nowadays for most things. Glad to know there's members on here such as yourself who are willing to donate gear to fellow anglers!

I am headed in the other direction than you. After years and years of fly fishing only, I'm finding enjoyment in gear fishing again, even for trout!
