Darian & nj,
We have a resident osprey that we often see at Torrey when we surf fish.
There are also mating peregrines in the cliffs at LaJolla Farms. Besides the
other neighborhood hawks, I often see a Coopers Hawk swooping thru the trees
hunting. Around the first of the year, I had one fly by me carrying a crow that
had to be similar in size.
Then, of course, living just west of Miramar Marine Air Base, we get
fly overs of the Osprey plane. Ain't life grand!

I've enjoyed this video before (thank you for posting it) and continue to marvel at the Osprey at Frenchman Reservoir. Also pretty cool to see the Bald Eagles steal the fish from the Osprey as well.

Thanks Larry...here in Livergultch we have bald eagles, golden eagles, lots of red tailed hawks and a couple of ospreys. The ospreys are incredible fish catchers, but those goldens are HUGE!

I've been on Fuller and had an Osprey scare the crap out of me, dive bomb, and pick up a fish at the same time I had a fish on. very cool!
