I have a lot of strung saddle hackle and some strung natural white neck hackles for sale. What's the difference between the two. Saddle hackles are more webby and softer. The neck hackles have a longer stiffer barbules.

I have a variety of colors, white saddle hackles, hot pink, fuschia, black and yellow. In the neck hackles, I only have natural white. The strung white saddles are 6"-7" and the neck hackles are the same. The yellow is around 6". When looking at each bundle, the hackles will range from the shorter one at one end and end up longer at the other end. This is how they are sewn together. No, you don't get all 7" hackles. Each strung section will vary in length, thus the price will also vary.

If you tie up a lot of flies for stripers, bass and salt water, this is the way you should go. Package hackle will run you $3.95 to $5.95 and you might use only half of the contents.

If you're interested, I will see these through this site or I will have a bunch at the Pleasanton show which is coming up in less than two weeks

Interested? Shoot me an email or see me at the show. These shouldn't last to long

Thanks

Jay
