Murakoshi has the plans for rigging that thing up with a Osterizer blender. He can make himself a daiguiri and tie a woolley bugger in 3.8 seconds.

If you are tying lots of woolly buggers or lager flies this vise is the bomb.

I use to dub a lot of nymphs with this vise, without using wax. I have been using the NorVise 12 + years. My travel vise is a Renzetti Master Vise. One good thing about the Nor Vise, no adjusting the hook to fit in the small grooves in the jaws. The in-line jaws can hold small hooks up to 22. That's the smallest I've tied and hooks up to 10/0. He also has the "v" set of jaws for those who like the standard type of jaws.

Are those the "Spring" Bobbins?

Yes, as described in the Norvise link.... https://norvise.com/product/bobbin-kit/, less the DVD.

I would describe the nor-bobbin as a clutch device. Had you ever been tying and your bobbing goes all the way to the floor, with the Nor-bobbin no more bobbin dropping down. You have about a 12" leeway where the thread will come back up. In the instructions, it will tell you how to put tension on the bobbin to keep it from sliding down. Once you master the bobbin, you won't go back to the standard bobbin.

I love my Norvise and bobbins. I can't imagine tying with anything else now.
