These pictures are from bass fishing earlier this week. We wanted to get a trip in before the water and the bite cooled off. We were probably a couple of weeks late but we did catch some fish and had some good photo light. Pretty good way to spend a day.

The bass were probably laying low under the weeds or up against the rushes.

I spent a few minutes getting some casting shots. I got lucky and caught this hook up.

The water smoothed out at the end of the day and the side light was coming in just right.

I would guess that late September/early October would be a nice time early and late in the day for some Fall top water bass.

GRAND pics John.....all of them!
Got started with the PCT pics and just HAD to snoop up the rest.
We seldom ventured to the "photos" area, but will rectify that from now on.
Ponds are one of our great weakness due to proximity and availability.
