A slow start for me as only one 18" fish to hand. This is the only swinging fly I use in the Fall. It works!!!http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/gordonl/4B27C434-F9DF-40DA-AE9A-4F0C7341C91E_zpsmncraplc.jpg (http://smg.photobucket.com/user/gordonl/media/4B27C434-F9DF-40DA-AE9A-4F0C7341C91E_zpsmncraplc.jpg.html)

Hey Gordon. Just behind the head it looks like you have some kind of sparkly ring. Or is that just my imagination?

Noe Fierros, a 30+ year Klamath River veteran, swings his own October Caddis winged fly for Steelhead in the Fall.

It is a very light weight "damp" fly in that orange to burnt orange color.

Steelhead veteran Chris Pasley uses October Caddis dries on the Grand Ronde River in October for Steelhead.

First that is just reflected light on the head. The hook is a Size 4, TMC 7999. Both the tail and the hackle are from a furnace hackle. The tag is UniFloss rust. The body is a dark brown chenille with sparkle. The overlay is orange/rust flashabou.
