Mike Copithorne will be sharing a program on Fly Fishing Putah Creek. This unique stream is only a short drive from Sacramento and is really coming back as a great fishery, due to strong conservation efforts and fishing regulations. Mike will take us there to probe its waters and unlock its secrets! He will go over insect hatches, flies to match and methods to fish.
Mike has fly fished for over 30 years, traveled all over the world in search of adventure, and has been featured in many fly fishing publications. He started a company called Off The Hook Fly Fishing in 2005 and resides in Napa, California. This is a must see presentation for anyone in our club interested in finding new “home water”. Putah Creek is an amazing place.

The CFFU meeting begins at 7 pm on Tuesday, October 4h and is located at the RICHARD T. CONZELMANN COMMUNITY CENTER, 2201 Cottage Way, Sacramento. The Center is in the Howe Avenue Park close to Howe Avenue. Starting at 6:15 pm there is a fly tying demonstration by a club member.

The Howe Avenue Park is located at the Northeast corner of Howe Avenue and Cottage Way. The entrance is on Cottage Way approximately 150 feet east of Howe Ave. across from Home Depot. Overflow parking is available at Home Depot. A map and more information are found at www.cffu.org.
