Our September speaker is guide Matt Heron and he will be presenting a program on Fly Fishing in Cuba. Cuba is quickly becoming the hot new place to go for the traveling fly fisher. We will learn what’s involved in making a trip to this amazing salt water fishery!
Matt has well over twenty years experience in the industry and runs one of the finest fly fishing schools in our area, based in Squaw Valley and the Tahoe Region. He’s an FFF certified caster, guide, speaker, and master teacher, having taught well over 3500 students worldwide. It’s a real treat to have Matt come and share a program with us. You don’t want to miss it!
The CFFU meeting begins at 7 pm on Tuesday, September 6th and is located at the RICHARD T. CONZELMANN COMMUNITY CENTER, 2201 Cottage Way, Sacramento. The Center is in the Howe Avenue Park close to Howe Avenue. Starting at 6:15 pm is a fly tying demonstration by a club member.
The Howe Avenue Park is located at the Northeast corner of Howe Avenue and Cottage Way. The entrance is on Cottage Way approximately 150 feet east of Howe Ave. across from Home Depot. Overflow parking is available at Home Depot. A map and more information are found at www.cffu.org.
