Went up to the NF Yuba with a friend of mine to catch the evening hatch. Started fishing around 4:30 upstream of the resort. I nymphed with olive and cream caddis pupa for the first two hours while Art threw an elk hair caddis. Lots of fish with a few around 8-9". Switched over when the stonefly started coming off. used a sz 8 Skwala pattern (olive/golden body) and outfished the caddis 5 to one. again, lots of small fish but fun to watch a 4" fish blast your fly out of the water. a few in the 8-9" again. quit at 8pm for the long drive home.
Fun easy fishing.
