Aloha, fished wee guys tourney in kona for two days. Had several small marlin knock downs but only landed this spearfish. Nice water and good company. I have another tourney in Hilo this weekend, maybe better luck in home waters. Hope you all have a good fourth, Mems

Way to go Don. That Wee Guys Tournament was always fun to watch as these little boats would come back to the pier for weigh in. Sometimes the marlin would come in and be almost the size of the boat. Funny too to see these giant rods and reels standing in rod holders with a fish strapped to the side of the boat as it was too big to be brought aboard.

I used to fish with Capt. Ralph Rehberg on the Nauti-Gal when we first started going to Kona. Ralph was also the outdoor reporter for KKON and I loved listening to his fishing reports every morning. One trip we had Jim Rizzuto on board with us and got a big write-up in the Hawaiian Fishing News. Those were fun days.
