These are some photos from a recent pond trip. It is a good time to be on the ponds. Bass are hungry and getting after the damsels and dragons. It would be nice if the fish were over 8" but you take what you can get. I feel like my bike is moving into the vintage category but my tube is way past vintage and just plain old. It is definitely time for a new float tube. I am hoping the shop will take pity on me and give me a little discount on a new one.

At the shop we have a Tucker Duck and Rubber Company canvas float tube that was made in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

We sold them in the 1960s and 1970s.

They were the first factory made float tubes.

They came in 16" and 20".

You must not be too "vintage" if you can get in and out of the doughnut (tube). The U-boats are much easier for old guys like me.
Great photos. Looks like a glass rod?

Awesome pics. I need to find ponds like this, that and take more pictures of the places I fish since I almost always have my camera.

And I agree with the damsels and dragons assessment. The bass and bluegill were on 'em like crazy at Rancho Seco when I went earlier this week.

That is not glass although it does look like one. That is the Sage bass rod, smallmouth version. Bought it from Al about 8 years ago at the Fair Oaks Avenue shop. I really like it and it throws a big bug with ease but you need sizable fish to put a good bend in it. It is in the SMB video I posted.

That is a very nice looking pond. Reminds me somewhat of the ones up in the Oroville wildlife refuge area,
The float tube sure looks good, it did a good job in catching a nice fish.
