I'm in Northern Nevada and I've recently found a new bass pond. I went for the first time about three weeks ago. The shallows were teaming with green sunfish, and I saw two bass on beds. I broke a rod and was only able to catch one. I went back last week, and again last night.
The pond seems to be void of life. All the sunfish were gone, and not a bass to be found. I took my kayak out and tossed a streamer on an intermediate line for a few hours without a bite.
I also fished a gravel pit last night with similar results. No bites, no activity of any kind.
My questions are, Is this a post spawn behavior where the fish are off resting somewhere tight lipped, will they be back in the shallows again soon, should I just wait awhile? What do you guys think?
