This is one of the smoothest, high quality #5/6 line fly reels every made.

With 2 extra spools you are set for life.

I am in love with my Abel TR1. It's such an amazing reel. I wish this would work with a 7 wt.

Bill, I thought the TR3 was for a 7/8wt and the TR2 was for a 5/6?

I have them all...... TR1, TR2 and TR3.....and sold many.

They don't rate them right.

These are my recommendations.

TR1 #2/3

TR2 = #3/4

TR3 = #5/6

This is if you want enough 20# Dacron backing and a decent cranking retrieve speed.

How about $350.00 for everything?

Super bargain.

For most this is a #5/6 fly reel

Spool diameter is 3 inches

Spool width is 3/4 inch

Very close to the Hardy LRH Lightweight fly reel in size.

PS: Many fly reel manufacturers spec capacities with gen spun backing rather than braided Dacron which is just not necessary. Makes their reels look like they hold more backing.
