I have a rack that goes into a regular square hitch mount, kind of like on this web site.


I also have a Thule front bar gutter locking rack that the front of the boat sits on.


You can carry a square back canoe or a small boat with a transom up to maybe 12 feet?

This is basically how it works.

You put the back of the boats transom up on the hitch mount then you lift the front of the boat and walk it around on top of the bar rack on the top of the vehicle.

It will work with a canoe or small boats that are 8 feet to 12 feet long.

Take a look at the boat rack that is a bar for the roof and a bar rack for the trailer hitch.
