Delta SMB line recommendation

I want to start fishing for smallmouth in the delta, I just bought a small pontoon boat. I've only fished trout and steelhead before and want to know what type of line would be most useful? I was thinking an intermediate or slow sink tip. Would love to hear what you use.

Ideally you would want an intermediate and full sink, or you can run sink tips or multiple sink tips depends on depth targeted. I would say a 7-8 and no less for rod and line
