The GGACC is again hosting their annual World Championship of Spey Casting. This international distance casting competition will be held Saturday and Sunday, April 23-24, 2016. Practice sessions for the competitors will be held on Friday, April 22.

Both members and the public are all invited to attend for free to watch the world's best Spey Casters compete. Exhibitors will be set up around the ponds and there will be a lunch and a breakfast served for a nominal fee (free to competitors) on all three days. As in past years, there will be Men's, Women's, and Senior Divisions of competition. Registrants will have exclusive use of the ponds on Friday as a practice day and for the duration of the competition.

For more information about this big event, please go to the Spey-O-Rama pull-down tab at www.ggacc.org.

The casting ponds are located in Golden Gate Park (across from the buffalo paddock) just off John F. Kennedy Drive.

It is a historic setting and a fun event.

Might try to get Marilyn down there Sunday for the finals.

If you are interested in Spey casting you might drive down to Godlen Gate Park in San Francisco today.

Finals are today from around 9 am till noon.

Then the awards and then lunch.

We are heading over and will see some good old buddies there.

If you have not been to the old historic Golden Gate Angling and Casting Club then that is another reason to go.
