Sure some of you have read Cadillac Desert this one still will not die even after Parsons first draft 50 years ago. New books out there like "The Water Knife" give this project a life. Question is would Canada ever sell out? Probs 50-100 years out, but if the drought was sustained for 10 years and the Ogallala is still at exponential draw/recharge deficit no question this thing could actually become reality. What if we didn't get this rain/snowpack this year and had another 5 years of same weather??? The unthinkable

That looks like a great way to spread invasive species.

Dude that's already been done in the SF Bay! And I'm not talking about Stripers either so don't get excited people. Something of this magnitude were ever to get signed off on the invasive species argument would barely be a discussion compared to what controversy over the adverse effects on BC/AK Salmon Stocks would raise.

If you want to see the future when water agencies are allowed to prevail, you need look no further than the Russian River here locally. How do you finally cut the head off of a snake? Very scary indeed!
