Took a trip with the family over to Redding this weekend. I fished a couple of local ponds. I got totally skunked behind the Jolly Giant, but managed a couple at another pond.

Did you try that pond by the River Park in Anderson? I'm negotiating for a Mobile Home close to there for a winter place. Would be nice to know there's some easy fishing close to that park.

There are Small Mouth Bass in most of the little tributary creeks that flow into the Sacramento river up near Redding.

Go to The Fly Shop and have someone there mark a StreamTime map for all the good wading accesses to the river near and below Redding. Lots of good hatches and big wild Rainbow trout.

Thanks Bill. We are headed out to Redding next month to complete the deal (if it works out) and I figured on going to the Fly Shop. I'm really looking forward to getting re-acquainted with the area. Kind of sad that I sold my Drift boat though.
