Redding, CA ???

Here's the deal. The wife wants to spend next winter (Nov-Mar) in Redding. She lived there in the early 80's while I floated around the Indian Ocean. The few times I made it home I mostly fished Shasta Lake for bass or Whiskey Town for perch. I know of the upper Sac, Mccloud and such. I'm just not sure what's available around there in the "winter" months. I'll have my Steelhead gear for the Trinity but could use some advise as to what else to bring. Going to call the The Fly Shop and see what they have to say also. Locations, flys all that stuff.
