What does everyone use to clean felt soled wading boots? I just recently started roaming the American again after a long layoff (warm water, low flows, couldn't see the point) and after a few trips my boots smell horrible. I was thinking about spraying them with Simple Green and then a soak in warm suds (Dawn dish soap?) and then a good rinse in clean water. The felt soles are what stink, the boots themselves are fine but the soles stink like swamp. The boots are Korkers with detachable spiked felt soles, which are fairly new and appear to be in good shape. I don't want to do anything stupid and ruin them.
