Did anybody else catch the article a few days ago on how Westland is behind the farm workers protest - No Water, No Work campaign? If I remember right, Westland is financing this campaign to the tune of 1.1 million dollars. Seems to be working, since I can't seem to find the article that I read, but I can find lots of articles about the farm workers plight. (Headline: Media swallows- hook, line, and sinker) Not to pick on farm workers, but this protest doesn't appear to be organic. It certainly does serve Westland and they can draw on sympathy for the farm workers. Pretty brilliant on Westland's part.

When Westland stops planting almond an pistachio trees, I'll work up a tear.

When you would drive up US 99 and later I-5 you would see signs "Impeach
Warren." Those became "Congress created Dust Bowl." Those "farmers" would
rip up vegetation near the freeway and plant further away to give the illusion of
Shortage. These growers are often despicable.
