Let's hear 'em

1.) Learn to tie a proper Pat's Rubberleg, and not the monstrosity I've been hammering out at the bench.
2.) Really dial in topo maps and a compass to where I'd feel comfortable totally relying on them.
3.) Pack a hammock and do an overnighter on the North Yuba somewhere.
4.) Get proficient on streamers and catch a big brown on one.
5.) Take the 3wt camping and either cook up some brookies or go hungry.
6.) Join a club and get involved in conservation.
6-A.) Participate in 2-3 stream rehabilitation / cleanup efforts.
7.) Teach someone completely new to fly fishing how to cast and get them to catch and land their first.
8.) Get my littlest kiddo to land his first fish.
9.) Surf fish for the first time
10.) Sight fish at Lake Manzanita again

What's on your list this year? Maybe some of us will align and knock some goals off the list together in 2016...

Raise an adult steelhead on the American to a size 4 skater or riffle hitched muddler, ie 24 inches+.
Become proficient with touch and go skandi casting, just cause it looks so cool.

My goal this year is to catch 100 of these. From what I hear, it shouldn't be too hard

More steel trips in the wild places that remain.

Even if they are small, the big ones will come!

That's my feeling too. 2016 is just to have fun and enjoy the journey . . . no goals, no destination, just a journey . . .

I've been officially diagnosed with Peter Pan Syndrome, so, despite my advanced years, mentally I'm about 26. My goal is to get the physical part on board - you know, the part where you want to jump from one rock to the next and there's that bit of hesitation, that bit of reluctance that wasn't there when you were younger.
